Amy W. Peachey

Amy W. Peachey (Webb), age 89, peacefully passed away in her home with loved ones by her side on March 1, 2024. She was the wife of late Louis J. Peachey; devoted mother to Elizabeth Peachey DiVaccaro; Eldest of 6 children, survived by sister Doris Doughten, predeceased by Carl, John, Millard and William Webb. Loving Mimi to Nicole and Sean Beach and Ricky DiVaccaro; and Great Grandmother (also called Mimi) to Liam, Payton, & Sawyer Beach. Amy was a secretary at AI DuPont and part time florist before returning to Gloucester County College to complete her nursing degree where she was a RN at Underwood Memorial Hospital in the Medical Surgery Department for over 20 years. Amy was passionate about spending time with family and friends, sewing, gardening, and putting flower arrangements together for her family, friends, and home church, Hudson United Methodist Church. She was known to always have a camera on hand for snapping photos mostly of her Grandchildren, family, or flowers. She was involved with the local 4-H for many years teaching sewing and cooking while her daughter participated. She especially was involved with horses and made costumes for both the horse and rider. Her garden was always blooming with tulips, daffodils, and roses each year. Her love for gardening showed with the lush flowers and colors present in her garden. She also had pole lima beans where she would freeze enough to feed an army. Amy always made every person she met feel special and thought of frequently with her phone calls, "just giving you a buzz to check in" to her endless cards for every occasion. She always made sure to include a sticker on the envelope of a picture of something she knew the person loved. She was known to be quiet the night owl, baking peach cobbler at 2:00AM on family vacations. Everyone called her Mimi, no matter their relation to her. Family and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral, Friday, March 8, 2024 from 9:30-11:00AM at Hudson United Methodist Church, 29 N Railroad Ave, Pedricktown, NJ 08067, service following viewing at 11 am. Burial will follow at the Hudson United Methodist Church Cemetery then a luncheon at the church. The family knows Amy would love flowers but also requests you honor her memory with donations to the Hudson United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
