Shane Barry McCarson

February 16, 2003 - June 19, 2014

Shane Barry McCarson "Shaners", age 11 of Pennsville passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday June 19, 2014. Born in Mannington, he is the son of Karen A. (nee Hendrix) and Leroy C. McCarson, Jr. of Pennsville. Shane just completed the 5th grade at Penn Beach School. He enjoyed drawing and art class, Transformers and spending hours building with Lego's. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Leroy William, III, Jacob Noah and his sister Carollee Elsie McCarson, his maternal grandmother, Nancy Hendrix, and aunt Betty Hendrix. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Barry Hendrix and his paternal grandparents, Leroy D. and Carol Lee McCarson. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday in the Ashcraft Funeral Home, 47 State St., Penns Grove where there will be a viewing from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will follow in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove. In lieu of flowers, a trust has been established in Shane’s name.
