Robert Wesley Stewart

February 23, 1931 - May 19, 2022

Robert W. Stewart, age 91, gained his wings on Thursday, 5/19/22. Robert was a lifelong resident of Carneys Point, NJ. He graduated from Penns Grove High School in 1948 and went on to earn a degree in Electronics from Temple University. After college, he co-owned a local business, Temple TV, and subsequently began a career as an instrument man with DuPont Chambers Works from where he retired. Upon retiring, he and his wife enjoyed traveling to different states in their motor home. Robert had a passion for electronics, bass fishing, golf and range shooting. In his earlier years, he was an active volunteer and member of the Carneys Point Fire and Rescue squads, a scout leader and a Little League coach. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alwilda (Carter) Stewart, his wife of 49 years, Doris (Milligan) Stewart and his companion of 11 years, Dolores Lubenesky. He is survived by his children Robert (Crystal) Stewart, Dave (Tammy) Stewart, Donna (Jack) Eplin, and Diana ( Glenn) Seehousz; grandchildren Jack Eplin (Amy Bittle), Amanda (Adam) Gurick, Jami (Mike) Kline, Amber (Kelly) Ricketts, Joshua (Stephanie) Seehousz, Morgan (Joe) Bourgeois, Tyler Stewart, Ryan (Rhiannon) Stewart and Jessica (Eli) Carr and 11 great grandchildren. A private graveside gathering will be held at the family’s convenience.
