Mary C. Usher (nee Everest), 56, left this world for a better place on March 4, 2014. Beloved wife of Robert Lee Usher, loving mother of her daughter Lucy Marie Thoden and grandmother of Lucy’s three children, Ryan, Aaliyah, and Jayson. Mary was also loved by her husband’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary leaves behind her siblings, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. One of 13 children, she was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Camille Everest, her sister Ivy and two of Robert’s children, Betty and Butchie. Mary was best known to local children and families as the “Crossing Guard Lady”. Family and friends will be received at 24A Madole Place, in Penns Grove, NJ from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday March 9, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations to help with final arrangements may be made out to her husband, Robert L. Usher.
