Larry W Lloyd, age 71, of Delaware City, DE passed away peacefully on July 5, 2018, at Seasons Hospice, Newark, DE. He was born in Salem, NJ to William Lloyd Jr and Alice (Smith) Lloyd on July 4, 1947. Larry attended Salem High School until joining the US Army in November 1965. He was stationed in Germany and served two tours in Vietnam. He was a Lab Technician at BF Goodrich/ PolyOne until retirement. Larry spent many years volunteering with the Pennsville Memorial High School Eagle Marching Band and served as president of the Eagle Band Activities Association 1986-1987. Larry loved watching the History Channel, going to the Renaissance Fair every year, spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed cooking and eating wild game. In his later years, he became a big supporter of the Veterans Association. Mr Lloyd is survived by his wife Dolores, his daughters Sherry Willsey (Steven), Denise Schell (Brian), and Kimberly Tarriero (James), and stepdaughters Julie Folks (Leroy), Jenny Bryant (Kevin), and Leshia Gibbons (Ryan). He is also survived by his grandchildren Joshua, Rebecca and Sarah Willsey, Emily Schell, Brantley and Lilyanna Tarriero, Natalya, Joseph, Makena, and Israel Folks, Sydney and Logan Bryant, Yasmeen Crespo, Brittney and Bodhi Gibbons. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at Ashcraft Funeral Home 740 S. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070 at 10am-11am followed by a service in celebration of his life at 11am. Burial will follow at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery Route 45 Pilesgrove, NJ 08098.
