Gary Robert Moore

Gary R. Moore, lifelong resident of Pedricktown, NJ, passed peacefully, at Inspira Medical Center Vineland on May 9, 2016. Gary was predeceased by his father, Robert N. Moore, wife, Deborah (Hunt) Moore, and brother, Leonard Moore. He is survived by his mother, Helen (Schempp) Moore; companion, Joan Heil, children, Michael and Kathy (Sebelist) Moore and Jeffrey and Phyllis (Wright) Moore, grandchildren, Samantha, Sean, Cody, Cole and Christopher, brothers, Donald and Cindy (Sullivan) Moore and Robert Moore, extended family RJ and Heather (Galloway) Heil, Makenzie Heil, Jeremy Heil, Eli Heil and Alyssa Cocking, nieces, nephews and many other loved ones. Gary was very active within the community. He was a member of the Logan Volunteer Fire Company for 43 years where he served as Assistant Chief and Chief. Gary served as Chief for 16 years as well as many years as the Treasurer of the Pedricktown Firemans Relief Association, Secretary for the Pedricktown Exempt Association, and Treasure of the Salem County Fire Chiefs Association. Gary was dedicated to his job as Business Administrator for Oldmans Township School for 42 years as well as Greenwich Township for 11 years and Stowe Creek for 10 years. Gary served on the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials for 28 years in which he served as President for a time. Gary was also in a business partnership with his brother Donald Moore and longtime friend Richard Tighe, Jr., The 3 owned and operated MTM Enterprises for 29 years. Gary was always giving to others. His final gift was the gift of sight to two individuals through The Gift of Life Donor Program. A service will be held 11 AM on Saturday May 21, at the Logan Volunteer Fire Company, 39 S. Railroad Ave., Pedricktown, NJ, where there will be visitation from 9:30 to 11am. Burial services will follow at Lawnside Cemetery, 1017 Route 40, Woodstown, NJ. All are invited back to the Logan Volunteer Fire Company immediately after, for a luncheon to celebrate Gary’s life.
