Josephine Lombardo (nee Bozzi) age 86 of Carneys Point died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Southgate Health Care Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nick and Amelia Bozzi of Philadelphia, PA. She is survived by daughters, Fran King of Carneys Point, NJ, Pat Scioli of Pedricktown, NJ, Maria Lombardo and partner Nigel Brown of Vero Beach, FL, Josie Lombardo of Carneys Point, NJ, sons, Steven (Kathy) Lombardo of Wilmington, DE and Robert Lombardo of Carneys Point, NJ. She is also survived by grandchildren, Rhonda Everingham, Danna Kuhnle and Lisa (Lonnie) Mixell of Vero Beach, FL, Jennifer (Chris) White of Lewisburg, WV, Nick (Katherine) Lombardo of Wilmington, DE, Kellie (Tom) Boyles of Quinton, NJ, Shelley (Steve) Lankenau of Pennsville, NJ, Joe Scioli of Wilmington, DE, Wayne (Megan) King of Pennsville, NJ, Jeffrey King of Carneys Point, NJ, Michelle (Jay) Croft of Middletown, DE, Lou (Shelley) Ayars of Swedesboro, NJ, Jamie (Jennifer) Ayars of Bear, DE and Tony (Kim) Ayars of Wilmington, DE, great grandchildren, Jenna, Jared and Brayden King, Thomas and Zachary Boyles, Michael, Samantha and Holly Everingham, Gabrielle, Brett and Eric Lankenau, Jay and Kara Croft, Seth and Alexa Ayars, Dylan and Ryan Ayars, Nicholas, Ryan and Luke White and Finley Lombardo , as well as sisters-in-law, Jane Bozzi, Barbara Bozzi and Margaret Bozzi and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Charmaine Iorio, brothers, Richard, Joseph, Frank and Nick Bozzi and sister-in-law Pat Bozzi. Mrs. Lombardo had been employed at St. James Rectory and the Washington Club, both in Penns Grove. Jo will always be remembered for her homemade pastas, pizzels and her homemade peanut butter fudge. A viewing will be held Friday from 9:30 to 11 AM in the Ashcraft Funeral Home, 47 State St., Penns Grove followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in St. James RC Church, Penns Grove. Interment will be in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
